Foiling the Energy Pirates
Understanding Your Energy Field
Another important point for the psychic immune system is the spleen point, located under your left arm. Psychic vampirism — people pulling on your energy to feed their own — occurs here. You often become aware of it because of a nagging pain along the ribs under your left armpit or a sensation of tugging on this spot. These energy pirates may be people you know or have known, or those who are just passing through. Therapists and others who work with needy people are particularly vulnerable to energy pirates and it may well be necessary to learn how to protect yourself (taping a Green Aventurine over the spot is useful, as is visualizing a green pyramid from the armpit to your waist).
Energy Drain Signals
✵ a sudden loss of energy
✵ a nagging pain or tugging below left or right armpit
✵ the inability to sleep
✵ continual overwhelming tiredness
Previous partners can be a continuing source of energy vampirism, even some years after the relationship has ended. Two friends of mine were experiencing energy loss and vague niggling pains under the left arm but didn’t, at the time, attribute it to anything in particular. They went to see a healer who immediately said that their ex-partners were still hooked in. He removed the hooks and they visualized green pyramids over their spleens, but they also found they needed Green Aventurines to complete the protection. They knew that it had worked when both their ex-partners, on the same day, managed to sever the power cords to electrical equipment with which they were working without being harmed!
I would also use Z14 to clear any etheric ties and cleanse the subtle levels of being and check that any higher chakra connections have also been disconnected — these are particularly vulnerable if you and your ex were involved in spiritual work together.
Energy drains are often connected to such ’hooks’ into your spleen that need to be removed and you can use Clear or Laser Quartz, Rainbow Mayanite, Nuummite, Flint or Novaculite (exercise caution as these latter stones are usually in the form of sharp shards) to cut the cords from your body and a piece of Rose Quartz or Green Aventurine to heal the site afterwards.
If you become aware that being around a certain person, speaking to them on the phone or by e-mail or simply thinking about them drains your energy, you’re probably tied together energetically by one of these energy drains. This can arise with partners, families, friends, clients or work colleagues, but the exercise below will soon release you.
Dealing with an Energy Drain
TRY THIS: CUTTING AN ENERGY DRAIN QUICKLY
✵ If you become aware of energy drain signals, ask yourself, ’Where or whom does this come from?’ (There are times when someone whose energy is attached to the person you’re with is actually creating the drain and you may experience it when you are seemingly alone, see Moving on Stuck Spirits). Allow the name to come to mind spontaneously, don’t strive for it.
✵ Disconnect it by rotating one of the energy drain-cutting crystals over your spleen point (just below your left armpit), or taping a Green Aventurine there, and sealing the place with light.
✵ Protect the left side of your body with a green pyramid (see Tool 7).
✵ Even if you don’t know who the drain comes from, disconnect it and protect yourself. If you don’t have a crystal handy, use an imaginary, virtual one.

TRY THIS: CUTTING A KNOWN ENERGY DRAIN
✵ If you know who is draining your energy, picture them in your mind’s eye. Visualize a cord linking the two of you together from your spleen point under your left arm to wherever in the other person the cord leads — usually the heart, solar plexus, reproductive organs or throat (check whether there are other cords and deal with those later).
✵ In your mind’s eye, take a big pair of gold scissors and cut the cord away from yourself, then continue chopping it into little pieces until you reach the other person. Visualize a plaster of healing light over the place where the cord was attached to your body and one on the other person. If the cord goes deep into your body, imagine a laser scalpel or a piece of Laser Quartz cutting it out and place a plaster of healing light over it.
✵ Check there are no more cords, particularly around the spleen and reproductive areas or the liver point under your right armpit. If there are, deal with them in the same way.
✵ Picture the cut-up cords being put onto a big bonfire and transmuted.
✵ When all cords have been dealt with, place yourself inside a bubble of light (Tool 6) or a golden pyramid (Tool 7) to safeguard your energy field.
✵ Allow unconditional love and forgiveness to go to the person who was draining you. Look on them with compassion.
✵ Bring your attention back into the room and ground yourself again.
If you’re a touchy-feely (kinaesthetic) person:
✵ Take a piece of cord and a large pair of scissors.
✵ Place a photograph of the other person at one end of the cord and hold the other end yourself.
✵ Firmly chop the cord into pieces.
✵ If you wish, chop the photograph into pieces also. This won’t harm the other person. The pieces can be burned or shredded and composted.
✵ Or use Crystal Balance Detachment Spray.
Afterwards, whenever you meet the person causing the energy drain, check your bubble of light (see Tool 6) or the green pyramid (see Tool 7) is in place so that the cord does not reattach. It would be sensible to tape a Green Aventurine, Fluorite, Gaspeite or Jade over your spleen point and wear either a Black Tourmaline or Yellow Labradorite crystal over your thymus when you’re with them to provide additional support until you’re sure you’ve regained control over your psychic immune system.
It is also possible that, having cut off the energy loss from the spleen point, you may begin to experience a stabbing pain under the right armpit. This will be because the ’vampire’ has realized that the energy piracy has been foiled and become angry. If this occurs, protect the liver point with Gaspeite or Tugtupite.
Crystal Tips for Cutting an Energy Drain
✵ Apple Aura Quartz, Clear Quartz, Flint, Green Aventurine, Green Fluorite, Green Jade, Laser or Lemurian Seed Quartz on the spleen point.
✵ Gaspeite or Tugtupite on the liver point for anger following disconnection.
✵ Use Crystal Balance Detachment Spray.
